Dear Colleagues,

As many of you are likely aware, there is currently a UNEP and WHO Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) Quick Start Programme Trust Fund Project being implemented in Kenya, Madagascar and Tanzania. The project goal is to identify and asses the feasibility of environmentally sound and cost-effective options for end-of-life management of long lasting insecticidal nets (LNs) used for malaria control. The project is focusing on:

a) social, cultural and ethical considerations;

b) logistical challenges and opportunities;

c) technical aspects and environmental impact.

This website is meant to be a working area where stakeholders can share ideas, documents and events related to this project on the sustainable management of the LN life-cycle.  

If you require we can add more tools to this WorkRoom such as a chat room, polls, a chronogram and many others features.
